Eschlbach is part of the Leiblfing community in the Straubing-Bogen district . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The church village Eschlbach is located about two kilometers northwest of Leiblfing on the Eschlbacher Wiesenbach , a left tributary of the Aiterach . The district road SR 18 runs through the village and the district road SR 65 to Hainsbach begins here .

history

The original owners of Eschlbach and Leiblfing were the Counts of Leonsberg . Eschlbach belonged to the Leonsberg Regional Court and came to the Straubing Regional Court when it was divided in 1803 . The municipality of Eschlbach was not formed until 1821 from the places Eschlbach, Hausmetting and Klöpfach of the municipality of Metting , Oberwalting of the municipality of Obersunzing and Saulbach of the municipality of Feldkirchen . It was most recently part of the Straubing district and was incorporated into the Leiblfing community on April 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
