Eszter Hollósi

Eszter Hollósi (born June 20, 1981 in Budapest , Hungary ) is an Austrian actress .

Live and act

Hollósi spent the first years of her life in Hungary and moved to Austria in 1988. After graduating from Vienna International School , she graduated from the Rose Bruford College in London with a degree in acting and theater directing in 2002 . As part of her studies, she did guest residencies and trainings at the Royal Shakespeare Company (UK), the Theater of the Oppressed (Brazil), the Artists of Gardzienice (Poland), the Teatr Pieśń Kozla (Poland) and the Instituto del Teatro in Barcelona.

Hollósi was involved in various theater, film and performance productions in the off-scene in and outside Austria. Hollósi has been working with the Viennese theater makers Otto Brusatti and Erwin Leder since 2007, and has played in the ensemble of the Viennese director Bruno Max since 2008 .

In addition to her acting activities, she works as a freelance speaker, holds readings (including with the First Vienna Reading Theater under the direction of Rolf Schwendter ) and writes her own poetry. She teaches German as a foreign language as well as English and writes literary translations and off-text translations for film productions.

In 2010 she completed the acting master class at the Pieśń Kozla Theater in Wrocław and the Manchester Metropolitan University .

Since the program reform of the ORF cultural broadcaster Ö1 in autumn 2017, Hollósi can be heard as one of five voices for the signations.
