Eugene Knecht

Eugen Knecht (born June 11, 1987 in Rudnyi , Kazakh SSR ) is a German - Russian actor .

Life

Knecht was born in the Soviet republic of Kazakhstan in what was then the Soviet Union . From 2003 to 2007 he received training in singing and composition from Marina Paschanova. From 2003 to 2010 he played as lead guitarist in various bands with the styles rock , jazz , pop and metal . From 2005 to 2012 he was also artistically active as a singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer with his own formation Ricci Tensor .

In 2009 he completed an acting degree at the Art Of Acting drama school in Berlin . He also took private acting lessons with Johannes Hitzblech (2009–2010) and with Natalia Bondar (2009–2012). He gained his first theater experience between 2009 and 2011 with the theater group “Theater of Words and Songs” in Berlin.

In 2011 he completed his acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna , where he is expected to take his final exam in 2015. He had role lessons at the Max Reinhardt Seminar with Bernd Birkhahn , Klaus Maria Brandauer , Roland Koch , Florian Teichtmeister and Nikolaus Windisch-Spoerk . In the summer of 2013, he played the teacher Semyon in Anton Chekhov's play The Seagull at the Waldviertel Court Theater ; Knecht sang Russian folk songs on a guitar in this role. In September 2014 he played Ray in the play Die Beautyqueen von Leenane by Martin McDonagh in the theater house and youth theater Dschungel Vienna.

Knecht had roles in several short films and first television roles. In the television film Das Assentat - Sarajevo 1914 (2014) he played the assassin Gavrilo Princip , whose assassination attempt on the Austro-Hungarian heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie led to the First World War . In April 2015 he was seen in an episode role in the ORF / ZDF series SOKO Wien / SOKO Donau . He played Radko Radencic, the leader of a street racer gang.

In the Vienna scene -Krimi scene: Greed (Original Air Date: June 2015) he played Helmut Mader. He was the husband of Rosa Mader, the godchild of police section chief Rauter. In March 2017 Knecht was seen in another episode role in the ZDF series SOKO Munich ; He played the Russian-German bartender Viktor Kasull, the jealous husband of a prostitute who turns into a murderer out of desperation.

From December 2017 (episode 2829) to January 2018 (episode 2851) Knecht was seen in the ARD telenovela Sturm der Liebe in the role of the "handsome" and "melancholy" Vanya Semjonov in one of the leading roles.

In the 4th season of the TV series In all Friendship - The Young Doctors (2019), Knecht took on a leading role in the episode as a shy young man who is secretly in love with his blind neighbor. In the series special for the 8th season of the ZDF series last trace Berlin ( summer solstice , March 2019) Knecht took on one of the main roles as a driver who had disappeared and was later murdered in a game butcher shop on the outskirts of Berlin. In the 8th film of the ARD television series Praxis mit Meerblick (2020), Knecht took on one of the episode roles as the accident victim Yegor, a seriously injured illegally employed harvest worker from Eastern Europe .

In 2013 he took part in the radio play Träume by Günter Eich for ORF Vienna .

Knecht lives in Vienna and Berlin.
