Eunice Jepkoech Sum

Eunice Jepkoech Sum (born April 10, 1988 ) is a Kenyan middle -distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter distance .

At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu , she reached the semifinals. In 2012 she won silver at the African Championships , but retired from the Olympic Games in London in the preliminary stages.

At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, she was able to parry an attack by Marija Savinova on the home stretch and won the title with her personal record of 1: 57.38 min, which was improved by almost two seconds.

At the African Championships in Marrakech in 2014 , she won the gold medal in the 800-meter run. In 2015 she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Beijing .
