The Eurosong 2016 was the Belgian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm ( Sweden ).

After an internal selection in 2015, Belgium will return to a national preliminary decision in 2016. The station responsible VRT called on artists and composers to submit contributions from May 26, 2015.
On November 16, 2015, the following five candidates were presented as part of the De Grote Peter Van de Veire Ochtendshow program, and they will compete in the Eurosong finale on January 17, 2016:
- Adil Aarab
- Amaryllis Uitterlinden
- Astrid Destuyver
- Laura Tesoro
- Tom Frantzis
The artists were selected by Gerrit Kerremans (music coordinator), Els Germonpré (Eén music manager) and Hans Snijders (radio MNM music manager), who were accompanied by manager Christopher Cocquyt. The five performers were performed by a team of three around Christopher Cocquyt, the vocal coach of the singer Lady Linn , Geena Lisa and the choreographers Ish Ait Hamou.
In the first two programs, the performers were judged by a six-person jury. This jury consisted of:
- Stijn Kolacny - conductor of the Belgian women's choir Scala
- Alexander Rybak - composer, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009
- Tom Helsen - Belgian singer-songwriter
- Beverly Jo Scott - composer of the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 Rhythm Inside
- Hadise - participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009
- Christer Björkman - participant of the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 , producer of the Melodifestivalen

In the first broadcast on January 3, 2016, 8:25 p.m. (CET), the candidates presented a cover of a previously selected song. These are songs by five different participants in the Eurovision Song Contest:

In the final on January 17, 2016, Laura Tesoro came out on top with What's The Pressure . This time Hadise and Christer Björkman acted as experts. In the first round, the audience and an international jury from ten other European countries each decided half on the two participants in the super final. In the super final, the winner was selected by the Belgian viewers by televoting.
