format

First, the Czech contribution should be determined internally. On January 5, 2018, it was announced that the preliminary round will take place entirely online and will therefore not be broadcast on television. From January 8th to January 28th, 2018 fans had the opportunity to vote for their favorites in the official Eurovision app. Fans worldwide could vote for free, but only votes from the Czech Republic counted. This corresponded to 50% of the final result. The remaining 50% came from an international jury. The result of the jury was announced on January 22, 2018. The winner of the preliminary round was announced on January 29, 2018.

International jury
