Evgeni Vadimowitsch Konnow , also Evgeny Konnov ( Russian Евгений Вадимович Коннов , born November 19, 1992 in Chirchiq , Uzbekistan ) is a Russian pianist . In 2018 he won first prize and the gold medal at the Maria Canals International Music Competition
Life
Konnow began his piano lessons at the age of four with Natalia Krivosheina in Tashkent . From 1999 to 2007 he attended the Gnessin Music School in Moscow , Russia with Tatiana Sarkisians. 2008–2012 he studied at the Academic Music College of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Natalia Syslova. Since 2012 Konnov has continued his musical education in Germany, first at the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf with Georg Friedrich Schenck and since 2013 with Evgenia Rubinova at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg . Parallel to his studies in Augsburg, he has been studying with Albert Mamriev at the “Neue Sterne” academy in Hanover since 2017 . Konnov has been studying with Jan Gottlieb Jiracek von Arnim at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , Austria, since 2019 .
Konnow plays concerts in Germany ( Gasteig ), Spain ( Palau de la Música Catalana , Palacio Euskalduna ), Russia ( The Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory ), France ( Salle Cortot in Paris ), Italy ( Teatro Dal Verme ), Austria , the Netherlands , Poland , Malta , Uzbekistan , Japan and Morocco . He played as a soloist with the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, the Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya, the Orquestra Internacional “Virtuosos de Madrid”, the Orchestra Filarmonica “Mihail Jora”, the Orchestra Sinfonica Citta di Grosseto, Orchestra “Antonio Vivaldi”, Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra .
