The Expressway 104 ( kor. 남해 고속도로 제 2 지선 ) is an expressway in South Korea . The highway is a junction of Expressway 10 and an access road to the southern part of the city of Busan , the second largest city in South Korea. The highway is 21 kilometers long.
Street description
Between Changwon and Gimhae , Expressway 104 starts at Expressway 10 and then turns slightly south. The motorway here has 2x2 lanes and runs through a newer suburb of Busan. The highway runs along the edge of the first Nakdong Delta and then crosses a series of bridges. The highway passes Gimhae Airport near Busan. The highway crosses the Nakdong several times on the way to Busan. In Busan, Expressway 104 ends on City Expressway 22 , which then becomes the city expressway to Busan.
history
Construction of the motorway began on May 22, 1978, and the motorway was opened to traffic on September 4, 1981. The motorway was then part of Expressway 10 . In 2001, the highway was renamed Expressway 104 after Expressway 10 was routed around Busan on a new northern route in 1996.
