The Expressway 32 , also known as Asan-Cheongju Expressway ( kor. 아산 청주 고속도로 ), is a freeway in South Korea . The highway is an east-west connection in the west of the country between Asan and Cheongju . The planned length is 49 kilometers.
Street description
The highway runs north along Asan near the city of Cheonan . It then merges with Expressway 1 and ends near Ochang north of Cheongju on Expressway 35 .
history
The section, double numbered with Expressway 1 between Cheonan and Oksan , opened to traffic on May 12, 1969. On November 5, 2013, the number Expressway 32 was assigned. The name of the highway was announced on March 27, 2015.
In December 2015, construction of the highway between Expressway 1 (Oksan) and Expressway 35 (Ochang) began. This section is twelve kilometers long and was opened on January 14, 2018.

future
In May 2016, construction began on the western part between West Asan and Cheonan. This part will open in December 2022. More than half of the route joins Expressway 1 between Cheonan and Oksan.
