The Eygues , in the lower reaches of the Aigues , (other spellings: Aigue , Aygues ) is a left tributary of the Rhone in France that runs in the regions of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur . It rises at the Col du Montaux , in the municipality of Chauvac-Laux-Montaux , at an altitude of about 1140 meters. The Eygues initially drains in a north-westerly direction, then turns to south-west and flows into the Rhone after 114.2 kilometers at Caderousse as a left tributary. On her way she crosses the Drôme , Hautes-Alpes and Vaucluse departments .
