Fürnried is a district of the municipality of Birgland in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

history

Fürnried was first mentioned in a document in 1043 as "forha" (presumably by Föhre ).

Through the first Bavarian municipal edict, Fürnried became a tax district in 1808 . By the second Bavarian municipal edict, the place became an independent political municipality in 1818. On July 1, 1972, Fürnried was incorporated into Birgland.

In the competition Our village has a future 1974/1975 one won gold in the district decision and silver in the state decision. In 1976/1977 they won the district decision, the state decision gold and the federal decision silver. In 1986 it was awarded silver at the district level. In 2009 they achieved gold in the district decision and silver in the state decision.
