history
At the end of the Holy Roman Empire, the electoral Palatinate desert until 1777 was under the sovereignty of the Electorate of Palatinate Bavaria . She belonged to the district judge office Sulzbach , which was the southwestern part of the Duchy of Wittelsbach Sulzbach . As part of the Simultaneum , which had been in effect in the Duchy of Sulzbach since 1652 , the Protestant residents of the village , which at that time consisted of three properties, were parished to Fürnried , while the Catholic residents were assigned to the parish in Heldmannsberg .
As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Ammerried became part of the rural community of Fürnried , which also included Hofstetten , Kutschendorf , Lichtenegg , Tannlohe and Wurmrausch , with the Second Municipal Edict in 1818 . In the course of the communal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Ammerried was incorporated together with most of the Fürnried community on July 1, 1972 into the Birgland community that had been formed six months earlier. In 1987 the wasteland, consisting of two properties, had 14 residents.
