Gronatshof is a Bavarian hamlet that belongs to the municipality of Birgland .

geography

The hamlet in the north of the Upper Palatinate Jura is one of 42 officially named parts of the municipality of Birgland in the western part of the Upper Palatinate . That at an altitude of 532  m above sea level. NHN located Gronatshof is about eight kilometers from the northeastern parish village Illschwang , in which the Birgland municipal administration has its seat.

At the end of the Holy Roman Empire of until 1777 was under kurpfälzische hamlet of sovereignty of the Electorate Palatinate Bavaria . He belonged to the District Judge Office Sulzbach , which was the southwestern part of the Duchy of Wittelsbach Sulzbach . As part of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Gronatshof was incorporated into the newly formed area of ​​Birgland together with the Poppberg community on July 1, 1972. In 1987 the Gronatshof, consisting of seven properties, had 35 residents.
