The canton Lauzun was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Marmande , in the Lot-et-Garonne and the region Aquitaine . Pierre Costes ( PS ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2001 to 2015 .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "Lauzun District".
With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Marmande.

geography
The canton bordered in the north on the canton Eymet in the arrondissement Bergerac in the Dordogne department , in the east, southeast and south on the cantons Castillonnès , Cancon and Monclar , all in the arrondissement Villeneuve-sur-Lot , in the southwest on the canton Seyches and in the north-west the canton of Duras .
