The canton of Agen-Sud-Est was a French canton in the arrondissement of Agen in the Lot-et-Garonne department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 . Christian Dézalos ( PS ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Department from 2011 to 2015 .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then "District Agen". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Agen.

geography
The canton bordered in the north on the cantons Agen-Center and Agen-Nord-Est , in the east on the canton Puymirol , in the south on the canton Astaffort and in the west on the canton Laplume .
