The canton of Agen-Nord was a French canton in the arrondissement of Agen in the Lot-et-Garonne department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 . Jean-Michel Drapé ( DVD ) was last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2001 to 2015 .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then "District Agen". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Agen.

geography

The canton bordered on the north with the canton Prayssas , in the east with the canton Agen-Nord-Est , in the south with the canton Agen-Center and in the west with the canton Agen-Ouest .
