The canton of Bouglon was a French canton in the arrondissement of Marmande in the Lot-et-Garonne department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Casteljaloux".

With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Marmande.

The canton bordered the canton Meilhan-sur-Garonne in the north, the canton Le Mas-d'Agenais in the northeast and east , the canton Casteljaloux in the south and the canton Grignols in the Langon arrondissement in the Gironde department in the west .
