The canton of Castelmoron-sur-Lot was a French canton in the arrondissement Marmande in the Lot-et-Garonne department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "Tonneins District". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Marmande.

The canton bordered in the north on the canton of Seyches , in the northeast and east on the canton Monclar in the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot , in the south on the cantons of Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot , also in the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Prayssas in the Arrondissement Agen and in the west to the cantons of Tonneins and Marmande-Est .
