The canton Agen Center was until 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Agen in the Lot-et-Garonne in the region of Aquitaine .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Agen". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Agen.

The canton bordered the cantons of Agen-Nord , Agen-Nord-Est , Agen-Sud-Est and Agen-Ouest .
Communities
The canton comprised part of the municipality of Agen . The city was divided into five cantons until 2015, this was by far the most populous part of the city, in the other four cantons there were also other municipalities.
