The canton Duras was 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Marmande , in the Lot-et-Garonne and the region Aquitaine .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "Lauzun District". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Marmande.

geography
The canton bordered in the north on the canton of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande in the arrondissement Libourne in the Gironde department , in the northeast on the canton Sigoulès and in the east on the canton Eymet , both in the district of Bergerac in the Dordogne department , and in the southeast on the canton Lauzun , to the southwest to the canton of Seyches , to the west to the canton of Monségur and to the northwest to the canton Pellegrue , both in the arrondissement of Langon in the Gironde department.
