Fabrizio Crestani

Fabrizio Crestani (born December 17, 1987 in Conegliano ) is an Italian racing driver . He competed in the Auto GP , the former Euroseries 3000 , from 2008 to 2013 .

Career

After Crestani was active in karting , he switched to the Italian Formula Junior 1600 in 2005 and also competed for Corbetta in two races of the Italian Formula 3 championship . 2006 Crestani stayed with Corbetta and drove both in the Italian Formula 3 championship, which he finished fifth in the overall standings, and as a guest starter in two races in the national class of the British Formula 3 championship . The following year Crestani went again for Corbetta in the Italian Formula 3 championship and was again fifth in the overall standings. However, he won three races this season.

In 2008 Crestani was active in the Euroseries 3000 for GP Racing and finished the season with three wins in fifth place overall. Crestani also competed for Euronova Racing in six races of the international Formula Masters . In the GP2 Asia series season 2008/2009 Crestani started from the second race of the season for the newly founded GP2 team Ocean Racing Technology . Crestani, whose best finish was tenth, didn't score any points during the season. In 2009 he started for TP Formula in the Euroseries 3000. Although he didn't win a race compared to the previous year, he improved to fourth place in the overall standings thanks to six podium finishes. In 2010 Crestani took part in three race weekends for various teams in the Euroseries 3000, which was renamed Auto GP . He finished the season in 22nd place overall. He also made his GP2 Series debut, replacing Giacomo Ricci at David Price Racing during the season . At the end of the season he finished 30th overall.

In 2011 Crestani competed in the Auto GP for the Lazarus team . With a second place as the best result, he ended the season as the best driver without a win in sixth place overall. In 2012 , Crestani stayed with Lazarus and switched to the GP2 series with the team . For the eighth race weekend he was replaced by Sergio Canamasas . At the end of the season he was 24th overall with one point. In 2013 he returned to Lazarus for two events in the GP2 series. He was left without points. He also took part in an Auto GP race weekend for the Ibiza Racing Team as an injury representative .
