The Fagstein is a 2164 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Gotzen Mountains , part of the Hagen Mountains in the Berchtesgaden Alps . It is located in the Berchtesgaden National Park 800 meters northwest of the border with the State of Salzburg on the Königssee forest district of the municipality of Schönau am Königssee .
It can be climbed from the south via the Hohen Roßfelder , from the north-east via the Rothspielscheibe or via the south-east slopes without a path from the path between Seeleinsee and Schneibstein . To the west and northwest, the Fagstein falls over steep rock faces.
