The Fanes Hut ( Ladin Üćia de Fanes , Italian Rifugio Fanes ) is a privately run refuge on the Fanes in the Dolomites .
Location and surroundings
The hut is located at an altitude of 2060 m in the Fanes-Sennes- Braies nature park on the alpine meadows of Kleinfanes.
history
The hut was built in 1928 as an Alpine base for the Hotel Post in St. Vigil and was expanded in 1937. The name of the hut is borrowed from the Fanes alpine pastures of the same name. It is still owned by the Mutschlechner family today.
