Farendløse Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .

569 inhabitants live in the parish, 359 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The Farendløse Kirke church is in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Nordrupøster Sogn in the north, Ørslev Sogn in the south-east, Sneslev Sogn in the south-west and Ringsted Sogn in the north-west .
