Jystrup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .

1097 inhabitants live in the parish, 775 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Jystrup Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are in the south Vigersted Sogn and in the west Valsølille Sogn , furthermore in the northern neighboring Lejre municipality Særløse Sogn and in the eastern neighboring Køge municipality Borup Sogn .
