Kværkeby Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .

The parish has 1,228 inhabitants, 588 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Kværkeby Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are in the south Nordrupøster Sogn in the west Ringsted Sogn and Benløse Sogn and in the north Vigersted Sogn , furthermore in the east neighboring Køge Kommune Gørslev Sogn .
