Vetterslev Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .

724 inhabitants live in the parish, 571 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Vetterslev Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Høm Sogn in the north, Ringsted Sogn in the north-east and Sneslev Sogn in the east , and Tybjerg Sogn in the neighboring Næstved municipality in the south , Sandby Sogn in the south-west and Vrangstrup Sogn in the west .
