Sneslev Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .
668 inhabitants live in the parish, 403 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Sneslev Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring municipalities are in the west Vetterslev Sogn , in the north Ringsted Sogn and Farendløse Sogn and in the east Ørslev Sogn , furthermore in the southeast neighboring Faxe municipality Øde Førslev Sogn and in the southwest neighboring Næstved municipality Aversi Sogn and Tybjerg Sogn .
