The Faulbornbach is an approximately 3 km long, north-easterly and orographically right-hand tributary of the Sieber in the Harz and south-western Harz foreland in the district of Göttingen , Lower Saxony .
course
The stream rises near the Heuerberg in the Harz National Park at an altitude of about 430 meters, about 1.5 km (as the crow flies) from Lonau (on the hiking trail from the hospital to the capercaillie enclosure). Forming a valley cut, it flows first to the west, then to the southwest, crosses under another forest path and touches the Bärenwinkel . In doing so, it crosses the 300 m limit, leaves the national park and flows into the Hägerfeld and into the area of the municipality of Herzberg am Harz .
There he walks straight through the field and after a right-angled corner over a homestead and further south-west. He crosses under the western Harz route , the federal highway 243 and today's county road K 427 ; shortly afterwards it flows into the Sieber from the right between Herzberg-Eichholz and Hörden am Harz .
