Feldbergen is a district of the municipality of Söhlde in the Hildesheim district in Lower Saxony .

geography

Feldbergen is surrounded by the villages Mölme , Hoheneggelsen , Klein Himstedt , Bettrum , Dingelbe , Garbolzum , Garmissen and Oedelum starting in the north and following clockwise . Naturally, Feldbergen lies in the Ilseder Börde, which, depending on the definition, is often included in the Hildesheimer Börde . Accordingly, the village is extensively surrounded by agricultural land. In the south these areas are bounded by the wooded Salzgitter ridge (called Lichtenberge in the north) and the forewood .

history

On November 13, 1528, the Bishop of Hildesheim and Vice Chancellor of Emperor Karl V. Balthasar Merklin stopped while moving into his diocese in Feldbergen.

The Feldbergen young company was founded in 1850 and is one of the oldest young companies in Germany.

The entrance of the village church can be reached via a treillage . This is an access corridor covered by trees that grow to the side , which is also called an arcade.

Transport links

On the federal highway 1 is field mountains to the surrounding villages Schellerten , Garbolzum, Hoheneggelsen and United Lafferde , the cities of Braunschweig and Hildesheim and to the federal highway 444 connected. In addition, the district road 215 connects the place with Mölme and Dingelbe.

The next train station is between Groß Himstedt and Hoheneggelsen on the Hildesheim – Braunschweig railway line .
