Felix Petermann (born April 11, 1984 in Marktoberdorf ) is a former German ice hockey player ( defender ) who last played in the German Ice Hockey League for EHC Red Bull Munich .

Career

At EV Füssen, Petermann went through the youth teams and was part of the Oberliga team for the first time in the 2000/01 season . The left-handed shooter played for his home club for two more years, with a production license from the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the 2002/03 season , but not yet used in these. Then Petermann stayed in the DEL with the Ice Tigers for the next three years. He steadily improved his scoring values ​​during this time, but failed with the Nuremberg team in the first round of the play-offs . For the 2006/07 season , the defender signed a contract with Adler Mannheim , with whom he won the German championship in 2007 .

Petermann signed a contract for the new season with the Frankfurt Lions in February 2010 . Due to the bankruptcy of Frankfurt, he moved to the DEL promoted EHC Munich for the 2010/11 season .

In the 2012/13 season , alternating with Martin Buchwieser , he wore the "C" as team captain.

In March 2006 Petermann began studying International Management , a bachelor's degree at Ansbach University that was specially designed for top athletes. In November 2015 he announced his sports disability and ended his active playing career.

International

In 2001, Petermann made his debut in a DEB selection when he represented his country at the U-18 World Cup . The defender also played for Germany at the U-18 World Cup a year later and in the junior title fights in 2003 and 2004 . In the senior national team , the left-shooter was part of the extended squad from 2004 and, in addition to numerous Germany Cups, played the men's world championship in Moscow in 2003 and the 2013 Olympic qualification .
