Ferdinand Marschall (born February 19, 1924 - November 14, 2006 in Waldzell ) was an Austrian football referee .

Ferdinand Marschall began his career as a referee in 1948. On October 3, 1953, he made his debut in the then Austrian State League , the highest performance class , in the game 1. Simmeringer SC against SV Austria Salzburg . In a total of 20 playing years, he led 180 championship games before he ended his active career as a referee on November 19, 1972 in the game SK Sturm Graz against SK Rapid Wien (1: 3).

In addition, he directed numerous international matches between 1954 and 1972 . At the Soccer World Cup in Mexico in 1970 he was used on June 10, 1970 in the game between Brazil and Romania (3-2). At the European Football Championship in 1972 , he headed the final between Germany and the USSR on June 18, 1972 (3-0).

After his active time, he was chairman of the referees committee of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) from 1981 to 1996 .
