First Love is a song by the American singer Jennifer Lopez that she recorded for her album AKA . The song was written by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh. It was produced by Max Martin, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Peter Carlsson. It was released on May 1, 2014 as the second single from the album on Capitol Records .

When Lopez was working on the AKA album, she first explained working with producer Max Martin. The song was first featured on April 25 at a press conference for Lopez's new album, during the conference she announced that the song would be released as the album's second single. The official single cover was shown to the public on April 27th.

criticism

The song received generally positive reviews. Benjamin Jeff from Fuse TV said with First Love she spans the line between pop and hip-hop very well, as she always does, and the chorus is the most noticeable thing about the song. Two of Spin found the song a welcome change after I Luh Ya Papi .

Commercial win

First Love was not very successful in the charts. The song only made it to # 87 on the Billboard Hot 100, but reached # 1 on Hot Dance Club Songs . In Spain we achieved a top 20 placement with 15th place.
