Rebirth (English for. " Rebirth ") is the fourth studio album by American singer Jennifer Lopez . It was released on March 1, 2005 on their record company Epic Records . The album contains the well-known hit single Get Right , which took top positions in the charts worldwide.
Emergence
Originally the album title should be Call Me Jennifer , because Lopez no longer wanted to be referred to with their abbreviations "J.Lo". The new title "Rebirth" should herald a new start for Lopez 'career after the failure with her film Love with Risk - Gigli from 2003. Musically Lopez showed no new approaches and moved in the direction of the last albums. It uses "typical American urban music with heaping radio -elements and gentle soulful pop - and R & B - ballads ". This time, unlike its predecessors, the album does not contain any hip-hop approaches. Her husband Marc Anthony wrote and produced the track (Can't Believe) This Is Me .
Rebirth was released in DualDisc format, which contains all the songs on the album in stereo format, the music video for Get Right , the remix version for Get Right with rapper Fabolous, and a documentary for the album directed by DA Pennebaker .
Cherry Pie was supposed to be released as the third single on the album, but Lopez later withdrew the release due to the low album sales.

reception
Rebirth received an average rating of 52/100 from Metacritic . Allmusic gave the album four out of five stars and stated: “Musically Lopez follows her three predecessors, this album can hardly be called a rebirth, but song after song Rebirth has more energy and better hooks than its predecessors. It doesn't have to be profound, but it has to be fun - after the failures in 2003 and 2004, Lopez now deserves fun. "
Charts
Rebirth debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 on March 19, 2005 (behind 50 Cents The Massacre ), with 261,000 units sold in its first week. In Japan it became Lopez's most successful album. It reached number 3 there with 244,689 units sold. Rebirth was the best-selling album in Turkey in 2005. The album sold around 3 million times worldwide.
