Damion Davis , also Damion , D'Shawn , actually Florian Renner , (born September 23, 1980 in East Berlin ) is a German rapper , actor and filmmaker .

Life

Florian Renner was born in East Berlin in 1980. In 1983 his family moved with him to Warsaw, Poland, for three years .

He got his first guitar when he was ten. He wrote a few songs but neglected making music and started playing in a basketball club when he was 13 . In his four-year playing career, he was national champion three times and played briefly in the national youth team. At the same time he founded his first band at the age of 15, where he played bass guitar and sang in the background.

In the fall of 1997 he started freestyling and writing rap lyrics . Together with some friends he founded the rap crew "Choir of Kumpane". He recorded his first pieces of music and performed with the RAG in Berlin , among others . In the spring of 1998 he met Asek, Ben Salomo and Floe Flex, with whom he was a regular on Rap on Wednesday . At the time, he was cast for a guest role in a television series and accepted into an acting agency. In another casting, he met the MC head chef and founded the Micadelics with him .

In the spring of 2001 he became a member of the Kaosloge , graduated from high school and went to the USA for some time. After various contributions to the sampler and his own Kaosloge maxi, he started writing for his solo album in mid-2001. Damion also joined the nu-metal band Circles as a singer and shouter in spring 2003 .

In 2004 he released his debut album Flip side of the medal . In 2007 the online album Am Ende des Tunnels and the Damion Davis album Lichtermeer were released together with the 4 Megaherz Orchester . In mid-2006 his first own film was released, the Berlin documentary Torque on DVD, for which Florian Renner directed and camera. He took on his first leading role in Wholetrain .

In 2011 he was on the soundtrack of Blutzbrüdaz on a track with Sido & B-Tight . In March 2013 the free download EP Schön Dich zu see was released . The album Querfeldein followed in April 2013 . Davis was also involved in the single Heimat from the January 2014 EP Der goldene Käfig by Berlin-based rapper Mortis . Damion Davis also played a Battlemania Champions League match against Gregpipe at RapAmWittwoch in September 2014, which was rated as "unjudged" (without a winner).

His fourth album Forever Ying was released in September 2016 via NewDEF / Wolfpack Entertainment.

In 2018 Davis appeared on the album Captain Fantastic by Die Fantastischen Vier .
