The Wallis Hihifo Airport ( IATA code WLS , ICAO code NLWW , French Aérodrome de Wallis Hihifo ) is the international airport of the French overseas territory Wallis and Futuna .
The airport is about 5.6 km from the main town of Mata-Utu on the island of ʻUvea . It can be approached by medium- haul aircraft the size of an Airbus A320 or a Boeing 737 . The only airline currently serving the airport is Aircalin from New Caledonia , which operates three flights a week between Wallis and Nouméa in addition to regional traffic to and from Futuna .
The island's own airline Air Corail (WF Aviation) plans to offer international flights from 2020 .
