The Forstbach is a 14 km long, right or eastern tributary of the Weser in the district of Holzminden , Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

The Forstbach arises in southern Lower Saxony between the Homburgwald in the north, the Holzberg in the south-southeast and the Solling in the south-southwest through the confluence of the southern Eberbach in Stadtoldendorf , which flows from the direction of the Holzberg, and the northern Rauchbach, which comes from the Homburgwald.

The Forstbach, which mainly flows westwards and in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park, runs from Stadtoldendorf in the Hooptal , past the Amelungsborn monastery , towards and through Negenborn , where it crosses under the Bundesstraße 64 .
