Golmbach on the south side of the Rühler Switzerland

Golmbach lies between the low mountain ranges and ridges of Vogler in the north, Homburgwald in the east, Solling in the south and Burgberg in the west-southwest. The village is located between Stadtoldendorf in the east and Bevern in the southwest. It is embedded in the Forstbachtal.

Community structure

In addition to the town of Golmbach itself, the former street village of Warbsen also belongs to the community .

history

The place was first mentioned as Goldbiki in the Corveyer traditions at the end of the first millennium . In 1604 the Gangolf Church was added to the church tower built in 1582. Rudolf Janke built the organ in 1969.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1973, the neighboring community Warbsen was incorporated.

Cherry blossom on the country road 580 to Golmbach

Regular events

On the penultimate weekend in April, the Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in Rühler Switzerland with information stands "All about the cherry", over orchards and agriculture as well as guided hikes. The annual election of the "cherry blossom queen" is part of this festival.

81% of the population of Golmbach are Protestant , 5% are Catholic , 14% belong to another or no religious community. The Protestant community belongs to the Holzminden-Bodenwerder parish .

Sports

In Golmbach there is the gymnastics club MTV Golmbach with various branches. In the soccer field, the GoLüWa (Golmbach - Lütgenade - Warbsen) game community is being formed together with the neighboring club FC Herta Lütgenade-Warbsen, in which a men's team and an old men's team are currently participating in the game. The volleyball department of FC Herta Lütgenade-Warbsen holds its home games in Golmbach. There are also two shooting clubs in Golmbach , the shooting club v. 1904 Golmbach e. V. and the Schützengilde Golmbach from 1961 e. V.
