Forum human rights

The Human Rights Forum is a network of more than 52 German non-governmental organizations . It works for improved, comprehensive protection of human rights . The forum was founded in 1994 following the Vienna World Human Rights Conference .

The organization names the following fields of activity as goals of its self-description:

  • to critically monitor the human rights policy of the Federal Government and the German Bundestag at national and international level,
  • carry out joint projects to improve human rights protection worldwide,
  • To raise awareness of human rights issues in the German public and to point out possible human rights violations in Germany and to work towards their solution,
  • Exchange information among member organizations on human rights issues, support local, regional and national NGOs in international aspects of their work and promote international networking of non-governmental organizations.
