Jacques François Moubandje (born June 21, 1990 in Douala , Cameroon ) is a Swiss football player with Cameroonian roots. The defender is under contract with Dinamo Zagreb and is a Swiss national player .
Career
societies
Born in Cameroon , Moubandje began his career at the age of ten with FC Perly-Certoux in the Swiss canton of Geneva . From 2002 to 2003 he played for FC Saint-Jean GE, then he moved to the youth team at Servette FC . In 2006 he joined FC Meyrin before moving back to FC Servette in the Challenge League in 2010 . On March 14, 2010 he made his competitive debut in a 2-1 victory at FC Vaduz . In the 2010/11 season he reached second place with the team and rose to the Super League after relegation games against AC Bellinzona . He scored his first competitive goal against Grasshoppers Zurich on October 26, 2011 in a 4-1 win. At the end of the season Moubandje took fourth place with the team and played in the following season in the qualification for the Europa League , in which he failed in the 2nd round . In the 2012/13 season , the club was relegated back to the Challenge League.
For the 2013/14 season Moubandje left Servette and moved to Toulouse FC in the French Ligue 1 . After almost six years and 134 league appearances in France, he moved to Dinamo Zagreb in August 2019 .
National team
Moubandje made his debut on November 10, 2011 in a 5-0 victory in the European Championship qualification against Georgia in the Swiss U-21 national team . In October 2014, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time , but was not used. He made his debut on November 15, 2014 in a 4-0 victory in European Championship qualification against Lithuania . Moubandje was appointed to the Swiss squad for the 2016 European Championship in France , but was not used in the tournament. In June 2018 he was also in the squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia nominated, but was there not reused.
