Career
In the club
As a youth, Ivo Pinto first played for his hometown club Lusitânia FC , before moving to the youth department of Boavista Porto in 2002 and from there six years later to city rivals FC Porto . In 2009 he moved up to the club's professional squad. However, he did not play a single league game for FC Porto. Instead, he was loaned to the second division Gil Vicente FC , then to the first division Vitória Setúbal and finally to the second division SC Covilhã . While he, although he came to Vitória Setúbal on December 13, 2009 for his debut in the Primeira Liga , hardly received any playing time at the first two clubs, Pinto was part of the regular formation in Covilhã and played 22 second division games. For the 2011/12 season he was then obliged by Rio Ave FC , but then immediately loaned to the first division rivals União Leiria again . There Pinto completed 25 first division matches. At the end of the season, however, he rose with the club. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season , Pinto moved to the Romanian first division club CFR Cluj , with whom he reached the cup final at the end of the season . He was then signed by the Croatian record champions Dinamo Zagreb , with whom he won the championship in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. In January 2016 he moved to Norwich City in the English Premier League for the transfer fee of 3.7 million euros . He returned to Dinamo Zagreb for the 2019/20 season and received a three-year contract. In the second half of that season he was loaned to the Portuguese first division promoted FC Famalicão .
