Emir Dilaver (born May 7, 1991 in Tomislavgrad , SFR Yugoslavia ) is an Austrian - Bosnian football player . He's playing in the midfielder position . Since summer 2018 he has been playing at Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian 1st HNL . In addition to being Austrian, he also has Bosnian citizenship.

Career

Dilaver began his career in the youth team of SC Red Star Penzing , to which he belonged until February 2001, before he was loaned from FK Austria Wien . The following summer, Dilaver was finally signed by Austria Wien. In 2008 he played with Austria in the TOTO youth league U-19, where he came on twelve missions and scored five goals, four of them in the game against the academy of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling on November 8, 2008. He was then to the first Team of the regional league club SV Wienerberg awarded.

Dilaver made his debut at SV Wienerberg in the Regionalliga Ost on March 7, 2009 against SC Neusiedl am See when he played through. The game ended 0-0. In total, he came on another ten missions. Wienerberg was seventh in the final ranking. In summer 2009 he returned to the amateurs of Austria. In his first season with the amateurs, he had to relegate due to the league reform. The defensive midfielder made his debut in the second division on July 14, 2009 against SC Austria Lustenau . Dilaver scored the first goal against SKN St. Pölten in a 3-0 win in September. After relegation, Dilaver stayed with the amateurs and made a name for himself with good performances in the regional league.

Because of these good performances he was appointed to the first team by Karl Daxbacher . He made his debut in the Bundesliga, Austria's top division, on February 19, 2011 against SC Magna Wiener Neustadt when he came on for Julian Baumgartlinger in the 83rd minute . Dilaver made his first game from the start on matchday 25 in the Vienna derby against SK Rapid Vienna , which was lost 0-1.

From summer 2014 to summer 2017, Emir Dilaver played in Hungary for Ferencváros Budapest , where he won the cup three times and the championship once . For the 2017/18 season he will move to the Polish Ekstraklasa to Lech Posen , where he signed a contract for four years.

Only one season later he turned his back on Poznan and signed a 3-year contract with Croatia's champions Dinamo Zagreb .

National team

The defensive midfielder made his first game for a national team in 2009 in the U-18 against Estonia , where he played with Michael Schimpelsberger , among others . In the 4-0 success he scored the 2-0. Dilaver was in the squad of the U-19 selection for EM 2010 at the side of u. a. David Alaba or Marco Djuricin . He played through in all three group matches against England , the Netherlands and France . Austria was third in the group. Since his debut against Sweden in October 2010, he has been on the U-21 squad for over two years and has played 15 international matches during that time.
