Franziska (born February 28, 1993 ; bourgeois Franziska Katzmarek ) is a German pop singer from Almsdorf bei Müuellen (Geiseltal) and winner of the "Summer Hit Parade" 2007 - Every Sunday (ARD).

Beginnings

Franziska gained her first experiences at the age of eight when she performed singing with her father Olaf in the duo Franziska & Wolfgang . In 2002 they recorded their first single with the title “Do you know what Heimweh ist” and took 3rd place in the preliminary round of the Grand Prix of Folk Music in Holland. The duo had their first small television appearances in 2003 at "Dido´s Music Show", which was broadcast on the open channel in Berlin. In the same year they met the musician and producer Willi Seitz at a concert and together they recorded the album “As long as one can still dream”. During the course of numerous fan trips to Austria, Franziska and her father met the producers of the label Tyrolis , Georg and Walter Wörle and in 2004 released their second album “Sieh den Regenbogen”, on which several solo tracks by the young Franziska could be heard for the first time.

education

Franziska received singing lessons at the conservatory in Halle (Saale) from her earliest youth, and from 2006 piano lessons at the music school in Weißenfels . After her breakthrough in 2007, Franziska took a break from school in 2008 and devoted herself to her career. A year later, she made up for the extended secondary school leaving certificate at an evening school in Naumburg (Saale) . In August 2014 the singer began studying music at MUSIFA Leipzig, which she will complete in summer 2017.

Career

In 2005 Franziska met the producer Bernd Jost from Jesteburg. With him she produced her first solo album "Meine Welt" under the name "Franzie". The publication of these 12 country titles brought Franziska appearances in Achim's hit parade and the "Country-Gala" on MDR . In 2007 Franziska accompanied the pop singer Semino Rossi on his Christmas tour and got to know the producer and composer Sigmar Strecker. Together with William King they took u. a. the title "Summer Feeling", with which she first appeared in the program Immer wieder sonntags (ARD). In summer 2007 she won the newcomer competition “Summer Hit Parade” and was crowned the first summer hit queen. The Sony Music / Ariola label became aware of the singer and signed her. In August 2007, the single "Summer Feeling" was released and reached number 46 in the German single charts. Five months later the album "Nur Traum" was released. In the weeks after her victory in the 2007 summer hit parade, Franziska gained further notoriety through TV appearances on TV Total (Pro7), RTL Exclusiv - Das Starmagazin and “Die Schlager des Jahres” (MDR).

Tours and performances with artists such as Andy Borg , Helene Fischer , Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross followed . In December 2007 she was awarded the Herbert Roth Prize in the TV program of the same name on the MDR and was also nominated as “Newcomer of the Year” for the Golden Hen . On January 14th 2011 her third studio album Herzklopfen was released , which was also produced by William King and was released by Ariola / Sony Music . The album reached number 77 in the German charts in January 2011. In the same year the young artist received her first gold record and in January 2012 Franziska won the German pop hit award “Schlager Saphir” in the category “Best Live Artist 2011” in Dortmund In 2013 the singer started her first radio tour across Austria. In January 2015 Franziska received the popular "Alpha Award" as part of her 500th Alpha autograph session. In the same year, she appeared for the first time with her band, consisting of Marius Gebhardt (drums), Jonas Fahlke (bass) and Robert-Leonard Seehafer (guitar), on ARD again and again. In 2016 she toured Germany for six months together with the presenter Maxi Arland and the “Cruise of Dreams” program. The 23-year-old singer and her band were also allowed to take part in the TV project “Sounds like Heimat” (WDR) and write a song about the city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Private

In August 2015, Franziska separated from her father professionally. Since then she has been managed by her partner, the singer and musician Robert-Leonard Seehafer. They live and work together in Leipzig .
