action

The bored housewife Minou is attacked by a sadist while walking on the beach in the evening, threatened and, completely frightened, is released again. From then on, he blackmailed his victim with the knowledge that her well-off husband had committed a murder in the past. Erotic meetings should take place, otherwise the blackmailer would tell the police about his knowledge. Minou has no doubts about the sadist's statement, especially since he can present a tape recording of the course of events. Concerned for the well-being of her husband, she agrees and seeks the stranger in his apartment, where he humiliates her and performs sexual acts on her.

Minou, who is mentally weak, tries to take part in social life as usual. During a girls' evening together with her best friend Dominique, while rummaging through their private photo collection, she surprisingly finds a picture of the perpetrator. It later turns out that the perpetrator belongs to the wider circle of friends of her own husband Pier. Pier himself had hired the sadist - a holiday acquaintance from Copenhagen - to drive his wife insane and into suicide.

Dominique worriedly observes what is going on in the house of her friend Minou, who is already visited by the perpetrator at home when her husband is absent and is forced to have sex there. It is thanks to Dominique that the police arrive before Pier can kill his wife in the showdown, thus completing the deed he had actually commissioned the sadist to do. Pier denies his guilt to the arriving officers. Since he comes dangerously close to the law enforcement officers with a knife in hand, they have no choice but to shoot the landlord. The latter had shot his service provider - the sadist - shortly before, because he was now harassing, frightening and harassing Minou in her house, even without a "mandate". The goal of driving Minou into suicide, he had apparently failed and was thus useless.

Dominique had secretly done her own research and clarified the investigators present: Pier's company is in financial difficulties. So some time ago he'd added Minou's life insurance policy in his favor. After that, all he had to do was bring about her suicide.

criticism

The film was largely received positively. On Schnittberichte.com Ercoli's work is referred to as a “top-class psychological thriller” . According to Christian Ade from Filmtipps.at, the erotic thriller is not one of them, but there is no lack of tension - generated by “a certain unpredictability and plot twists” . “Excitement to the end” also confirms the Italian online magazine Futuro Europa in its film review on the occasion of Luciano Ercoli's death. In addition, the soundtrack is called impressive there.
