Friendship is a song of the German electro - duo Glass Bead Game . The track is the third and final single from her debut album, Move with Me .
Creation and artwork
The song was written by Daniel Grunenberg , David Jürgens, Katharina Löwel (known as a rapper under the pseudonym Kitty Kat ) and Carolin Niemczyk . The single was produced by Ingo Politz , Mic Schröder and Bernd Wendlandt, and the three Grunenbergs were co-producers. The single was mastered at TrueBusyness Mastering in Berlin under the direction of Sascha Bühren, the single was mixed by Mic Schröder. The song was released under the Polydor music label . On the cover of the maxi single you can see a picture of Glasperlenspiel next to the artist and the song title. The cover picture was shot by the German photographer Ben Wolf.
Publication and promotion
Friendship was first published on August 24, 2012 as a download single. In addition to the single version, the maxi single also contains a live version and two remix versions of Freundes , as well as the songs Risk (acoustic mix) and Tanzen im Regen as B-side . In addition to the regular maxi single, there is also a special version, which is expanded with the music videos on friendship and dancing in the rain .
In order to promote the song, there followed, among other things, live appearances in the ZDF television garden , at The Dome 63 and during the ZDF New Year's Eve celebration Willkommen 2013 at the Brandenburg Gate .

The music video about friendship celebrated its premiere on August 9, 2012 on MyVideo . You can see a kind of band diary from Glasperlenspiel during a tour. At the end of the tour, they are guests of their friends with whom they have a party. The total length of the video is 3:14 minutes. Directed by Jörg Kundinger.

Friendship reached position 17 in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the charts for a total of twelve weeks. In Austria the single reached position 47 in five chart weeks and in Switzerland position 66 in one chart week.
For Glasperlenspiel this is the third chart success in Germany, the second in Austria and the first in Switzerland. For the first time a single from Glasperlenspiel was placed in all DA-CH countries. In Austria, no single could longer until then placing in the charts ( Real also five weeks).
