Friedrich Heidenreich (organ builder)
Friedrich Heidenreich (born April 3, 1741 in Bayreuth ; † 1803 in Hof ) was a German organ builder whose craft was managed by his son Eberhard Friedrich Heidenreich (* 1770 in Hof ; † 29 May 1830 in St. Georgen ) and his grandson Johann Friedrich Heidenreich (* 1798; † November 12, 1843 in St. Georgen) was continued.
Friedrich Heidenreich learned from Graichen and Ritter . According to the factory inventory of Hans Hofner , he made organs for Hirschberg (1777), Hetzelsdorf , Oberkotzau , Geroldsgrün , Döhlau , Döbra , Münchberg , Weißenstadt , Ahornberg , Schwarzenbach an der Saale , Selbitz and Marktschorgast (1786).
The son Eberhard Friedrich renewed the organ in Schwarzenbach an der Saale, and he also built organs in Marktredwitz , Kirchahorn and Schwarzenbach am Wald . His son Johann Friedrich built organs in Neudrossenfeld (1833) and Kulmain (1836). Apparently a brother of Johann Friedrich, both known as the Brothers Heidenreich, was active in St. Michaelis and St. Marien in Hof, in Selb and in the renovation of the organ in the Bayreuth town church .
