Friedrich Pagenstecher (politician)

Friedrich Alexander Pagenstecher (born January 9, 1871 in Mainz ; † November 14, 1941 ibid) was a Hessian politician ( NLP , DDP ) and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse and the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

family

Friedrich Pagenstecher was the son of the businessman Wilhelm Pagenstecher (1832–1895) and his second wife Amalie nee Schneider (1849–1884). His grandfather was Heinrich Carl Alexander Pagenstecher , a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly in 1848/49. Friedrich Pagenstecher, who was a Protestant denomination, married Bertha, born Habermehl (1875–1947), on April 8, 1896 in Mainz.

education and profession

Friedrich Page Stecher studied in Geneva, Berlin and Giessen Law and graduated with doctorate Jur. From. In 1898 he was admitted to the bar at the Mainz Regional Court .

politics

Pagenstecher had been a city councilor in Mainz for the National Liberal Party since 1900. In the 34th electoral term (1908-1910) he was a predecessor of Jakob Bach a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the constituency of the city of Mainz . From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse for the German Democratic Party.
