Fritz David from Hansemann

Fritz David von Hansemann (born September 13, 1886 in Berlin ; † May 23, 1971 ibid) was a German politician ( DVP , CDU ).

Fritz David von Hansemann came from the famous Hansemann banking family and was the son of the pathologist David Paul von Hansemann (1858–1920). From 1905 he studied law and politics at the universities of Leipzig and Bonn . In 1908 and 1909 he did his military service. From 1909 he became a government assessor in Frankfurt (Oder) , Arnswalde and Trier . During the First World War he was a soldier for four years, most recently as a reserve officer . From 1920 to 1930 Hansemann was a local politician, initially in Neuss , to later become Lord Mayor of Flensburg . With the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , he was dismissed because he belonged to the German People's Party (DVP). During the Nazi era , Hansemann was a business consultant in Berlin.

After the Second World War , Hansemann joined the CDU and was elected to the district council of the Wilmersdorf district in 1950 . In the election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 1954 he was elected, but resigned in February 1955, as he became district mayor of the Steglitz district . In 1959 he retired .

The family grave has been preserved in the Old St. Matthew Cemetery , the bust was stolen at the beginning of April 2016.
