In his paper 100 Years of Building in Hanover (see literature), Alexander Dorner also summarized the early works of Wilhelm Mackensen and Fritz Torno (before their working group) in just one list of Mackensen & Torno.
The following buildings have been occupied so far:
- 1912-1913; with Wilhelm Mackensen: Georgspalast office and commercial building in Hanover, Georgstrasse 36
- 1920-1922; with Wilhelm Mackensen: Dorotheenstrasse residential complex
- 1921 or approx. 1922–1924: Commerz- und Privatbank AG building in Hanover, Theaterstraße 11/12 (facade with figures by Georg Herting ; preserved)
- The Hanoverian Biographical Lexicon attributes the building to the architects Wilhelm Mackensen and Adolf Springer and dates it to around 1922–24 . In contrast, the Hanover Chronicle records the construction of the building in 1921 as a joint construction by the architects Mackensen & Torno. The building of today's Commerzbank is a listed building .
- 1936–1937: Torno and Mackensen rebuilt the building of the Hannoversche Kapital-Versicherungsanstalt with Sparkasse, built by Heinrich Ludwig Debo in 1884–1885, at Landschaftstrasse 5 and integrated it into the new building of the Sparkasse Hannover (Landschaftstrasse 4/5, building structure partially preserved) .
