The Africa Women Cup of Nations 1991 ( Engl. : African Women Championship , French. : Championnat d'Afrique de football féminin ) was the first, unofficial playout of the African continental championship in women's football and was from 16 February to 30 June without host country played in a pure knockout system with a return leg.
With two final victories against Cameroon, Nigeria became the first African champions in women's football and thus qualified for the 1991 Women's World Cup in China.
